General Information

1. Okinawa Naha Airport

The primary air terminal for passengers to and from Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, the airport handles international traffic to Taiwan, Korea, China, and the Philippines. Japan's fifth largest airport, it also carries domestic flights to Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) and many other cities on Japan's four main islands. Naha is also a hub for service to other locations in Okinawa, including Ishigaki Airport. In all, flights connect Naha to more than 30 destinations.

2. Currency and rate
Japanese yen are available in 1 yen, 5 yen, 10 yen, 50 yen, 100 yen, and 500 yen coins and notes in 1,000 yen, 2,000 yen, 5,000 yen and 10,000 yen.

10 yen and 100 yen coins can be used for domestics phone call while 100 yen coin can be used for international call at public phone.

At the moment (April 2007), the currency rate of Japanese Yen and US Dollar is about:
1 USD = 120 Yen.

3. Weather

Okinawa, as predicted, will enjoy warm summer on June.

4. Electricity
Japan uses current of 110 volts at 60 cycles, appliances from Europe, Australia or South-East Asia will need an adaptor or transformer to 220 volts.
